  • Why can't people be who they are?

:zz:It seems that every day I see people trying to be some body else. They put on a false front and are often very unconviencing. No not every one thankfully but there is one every now and then. Perhaps they are lacking confidence in themselves or in the role which they fill. I think that reflects on people in positions of responsibility who fail to select people for roles they do not have the potential to grow into. There should also be appropriate support and development programmes provided for these people.
On a happier note the weather in our part of the world has at last settled and we have had some sun shine and warm weather.
Enough about that the retail community are bombarding us with what to buy telling us what we need and doing everything in their power to extract our money from us we need to avoid this and make our own decisions and decide what we want to do with our money.:|

  • Making some persons day

Yesterday I had an interesting day. I was walking out of the supermarket and say a lady coming in. I said good evening to her and smiled. She stopped and said thank you that I was the only person who had spoken to her all day.
"You've made my day" she said. I must admit I was a bit take back as I very frequently greet people in allsorts of situations but have never had a response like that. Perhaps it is a lesson that a smile and a kind word can be valued and worth the trouble.

  • The March of Time

Well another day has gone by and it is interesting to look back. What did we do? How may many people did we interact with? What did we do to make the world a better place for others and also for ourselves? Perhaps many would say we should be looking at how much money we made..... or spent. I don't make this my number one. Do you?
The weather still remains wet and cold putting many of my plans on hold for now.

  • Rain as expected

Well the weather has fallen to bits. Rain and cold today. The car racing event not far from where I live had a fair bit of rain. Went to see car racing and the slippery caused many problems for the competitors. The weather is normally more stable at this time of the year and much more predictable. It is the start of summer in New Zealand today was as cold and wet as a winters day.Strange how the seasons have changed.
Sorry to be writing about the weather but not much else has happened today. Produced 250 raffle tickets for the school today to assist them with the end of year fund raising event.

  • Weather

The weather looks as though it will fall to pieces soon. Dense cloud and cooler than it has been. Need to go and buy a new vacumn cleaner as the old one wont go. This will cost at least a couple of hundred could cost more.

  • Take time and make use of it

The days go by and the months go past and soon we are a year older. I have had to learn how to value each day and gain the most from it. I would like to share new ideas and things that help to make life more enjoyable and exciting.
